Don’t you just want to hug Owen, our Adoptable Dog of the Week? This furry fella is a 3-year-old Great Pyrenees mix from Portland, ME.

Owen’s Story:

Owen is a 3-year-old Great Pyrenees mix. For the 2.5 years he lived with a nice family who loved him very much, but that family also has a number of foster children and an active household that did not suit Owen’s personality. Too much commotion made Owen nervous and he has been placed in a quieter foster home with two children that he adores. Owen is incredibly beautiful, elegant, sweet and gentle. He loves people but he can be shy initially. He seems to trust woman more than men at first meeting, but when shown a little kindness he will snuggle on the sofa with anyone. Owen enjoys daily walks in the neighborhood and after the walk, he likes the sofa. He is essentially a home body but the Hound in him can make him wander, so a fenced yard would be ideal. Please let us know if you would like to add this beautiful boy to your family.
