Pooches on and off the runway will want to strut their stuff when they wear these chic collars and leashes

Renowned British fashion house Mulberry is probably best known for its collection of high-end handbags — you can count the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton and tastemaker Alexa Chung among its many devotees.

Now, Mulberry has decided to take a walk on the wild side with its latest product line, a collaboration with luxury pet outfitter Mungo & Maud.

The two companies may seem an unlikely pair, but man’s best friend has long been a feature in Mulberry’s ads, appearing in brochures, photo shoots and campaigns — they’ve even sat front row at a few fashion shows!

The result is a collection of collars and leashes in super-bright colors that pop. They also match Mulberry’s colors for the new season: Hibiscus, Sea Blue, Jungle Green and Mandarin. And if you’d like a tote or rain boots to match your pooch’s fancy new duds, well, they’ve got you covered.

“The opportunity to collaborate with this iconic British brand is a huge compliment to Mungo & Maud. I have always been drawn to Mulberry’s craftsmanship and timeless designs and loved the idea of creating a bold color-inspired leash & collar collection… there is now no need for one’s dog to feel left out,” says Nicola Sacher, Creative Director of Mungo & Maud.

Made with boldly colored webbing material complemented by luxuriously soft embossed calf leather in a contrasting color and fancy-schmancy nickel-plated accents, the collection certainly lives up to its designer label. It’ll also set you back a pretty penny: expect to shell out $120 for a collar and $190 if you want the matching leash. (Yikes!)

The price tag is certainly hefty, but hey, Christmas is coming, right? So Santa, if you’re listening, we’d each like a leash-collar combo in our pooch’s stocking come Christmas morning, mmmkay? We’ve been good alllllllll year, we swear!

And if you just can’t wait that long and you’ve got some cash to spare, the Mulberry + Mungo & Maud capsule collection is available right now on Mulberry’s website.
